How To Select Fairchild Pressure Regulators

By Gloria Mason

The rate of speed and the flow of pressure should always be kept at a balanced status and regulated cautiously. For this reason, Fairchild pressure regulators have been developed. The type or model selected should be reliant on the function at hand.

The best regulators to be used for general precision and process control are the 10Model and the 81Model. However, in case a tinier package of excessive force is needed, then the 30Model and 80Model are highly suitable. A rolling diaphragm is used to balance their valves. Due to this, they are able to function adequately to produce output that is continuously flowing.

To aid in maintaining a low continuous force level, an aspiration tube within the regulator is used. This tube aids in maintaining the force at the required levels as it also regulates the supply of air. Low continuous physical force regulators can also be applied to help in achieving a high precision.

Back open-close devices or valves are another type of regulators. They work arguably well in controlling back force also referred to as relief pressure. The 10BP model regulator is a high capacity regulator which functions to relieve excessive force within a pneumatic system. Just like the 30BP model, it provides high precision, is designed for tough applications and considered as an excellent option for a variety of precision applications. It also provides great accuracy than relief valves do over a narrow range of pressure.

The other one is the Fairchild 16 Vacuum regulator. This is specifically designed for systems that need continuous force from the control which is above or below the atmospheric force. All applications of full vacuum are well handled by the Models 17 and 18 Vacuum regulators, Model 16 handle slow continuous physical force and lighter vacuum.

The Fairchild 16 vacuum regulator's control sensitivity of half inch water column allows it to be applied in precision functions. It has a balanced supply of valve that minimizes the effects of variation in the supply of continuous force. The outlet force is well maintained because there is a balance between the forces acting at the top and bottom of the assembled diaphragm.

The Fairchild 50 miniature regulator is a lightweight and compact device that is able to handle increased force and also control of precision. Its Venturi design is able to reduce force downstream while it is still flowing. It is polymer-made therefore it is not exposed to corrosion. Its applications are mainly in medical, lightweight and tough applications.

An essential and critical factor is the provision of a proper system of increased flow as well as filtration. For this type of functionality, a specialty force regulator called the Fairchild 63 model is the most suitable due to the fact that it can stand tough conditions. Made from a non-brass material, it is corrosive - resistant. In addition to other specialty models, they are applicable for actuation and automation. In a nutshell, Fairchild pressure regulators are very essential in maintaining a level of balance of velocity and hence enabling the pressure to flow steadily.
