Various Types Of Powder Coating Equipment

By Nita McKinney

Powder coating is the method of applying decorative and protective coats on different metal products that are used in industrial, commercial and residential areas. This coat is usually applied in three different methods that include surface preparation, application and the final curing to beautify and strengthen them. These processes require the use of different machines, hence, you can find many different types of powder coating equipment in the market.

Metal companies usually use high carbon steel grit materials to prepare and clean metal surfaces before application the coats. Steel grits come in varying sizes, types, qualities and work efficiently in clearing all dirt substances on metal surfaces to ensure the coats can be firmly held on the metal surfaces. These grits can be used in combination with other machines to ease the cleaning tasks.

Metal factories also use sandblasting machines to prepare surfaces that are usually sold with varying sizes, shapes and qualities. Mainly sandblasting machines are divided into different categories that usually differ depending on the fabrics used to make them. The common types of sandblasting products are mainly made from plastics and silicon carbine materials.

Fluidized machines are made with air tanks, membranes and supply components that ease application of coatings. Air created from these sprayers usually force the coats on the steels to coat them. They usually coat steel surfaces by utilization of chemicals or electrostatic forces that mostly fuse the jackets on surfaces.

Colona sprayers are fitted small-sized units that allow the acceleration of the powders to the steel surfaces. These machines usually fuse the powdery substances into the metal surfaces by use of electrostatic force. When using these machines, manufacturers can operate them automatically or manually depending on the mode of design of such machines.

People can also use spray booth machines to apply powdery coatings on metal surfaces. These devices are made with containers that hold the fine particles before it is fused into the intended surfaces. Spray booths come in different sizes some of which are quite small and can be operated manually while others are very large hence can only be operated automatically. The remaining finishes in these machines are usually stored hence prevents wastage leading to one saving a considerable amount of money.

Cure ovens are also very essential machines for finishing the varnishing process. These machines have the ability to heat the coated materials into high temperatures easing the cross linking chemical process. These ovens are usually powered conventionally or electromagnetically to treat the intended surfaces. Mostly these treatments are applied if you have used polymer powders.

Metal factories use powder coating equipment in a number of the application methods to guarantee efficient results. There are varieties of different machines that differ depending on the modes of operation, sizes, shapes, designs and the efficient. Sandblasters, abrasives and steel grits are surface preparation machines that are designed from silicon carbides and abrasive materials. To apply and cure these powders manufacturers usually use the corona sprayers, sprayer booths, fluidized sprayers and cure ovens. Metal companies therefore find numerous advantages in using the finishing coat machines.
