The specific time of the day you decide to do it is relevant. It is best to choose a morning when you feel free. The evenings are usually bad because you have been hard at work all day. You are likely to fall asleep when you try to do it. So in the morning, you re fresh and haven t did much yet. You have energy and can ultimately focus on what you have to do to achieve this.

You must have a real purpose for doing this. You need a place you want to get to. What do you want to do once you are able to project? That s the question you need to ask yourself. As you go into higher levels of meditation and relaxation. You use your target. This object or thing you wish to see will help you get where you want to.

Once you know what you want, you can begin. The first thing you must do is find a way to relax. There are many ways to do this. You can do a relaxation meditation if you know one. Start with a few deep breaths. Each breath should take you deeper into the meditation. Making you feel more relaxed as you continue. You should start seeing color behind your eyes, this is good but you should continue.

You are now going to enter what is called the vibration stage. This is when you start feeling vibrations through your body. You may even refer to this as a tingly sensation. This means you are almost at your goal. Your physical and astral bodies are starting to separate. This is excellent progress! So from here onwards just maintain the relaxation so that you can go further.

Using the power of your mind and your willpower, you must control these vibration sensations. If you re focused enough you can do it. You can start by moving them from one area of the body to another. For instance, if you feel them on the hands move them to the feet. Switch and change them until you feel that you have full control. Then turn them off and on like a light switch. This is a great exercise because you are fully aware.

Now you are ready to try something more intricate. You need to visualize a rope above your head. Picture grabbing this rope by the hand. This is how you will be pulling yourself into the other plane. Keep on trying and extend to two hands eventually. Take note while all this happening your vibrations may become more intense as you do this.

After you have tugged on the tope a bit, you can end the exercise. Don t worry you re not done, but just concluding for now. You will go to repeat these steps until you are fully aware of the rope and are able to use two hands to grab at it. You may feel dizzy and overwhelmed but these are signs that you are coming along nicely.
